Joanne Froggatt stars in this six-part British miniseries. On the surface Angela Black (Froggatt)'s life in London appears perfect, where she is married to Olivier (Michiel Huisman). However, he has been abusing Angela for years and she has struggled to open up to anyone about her years of domestic abuse.

When Angela is approached by Private Investigator Ed (Samuel Adewunmi), who reveals a number of secrets about Olivier, she must weigh up whether or not she can trust Ed, and follow through on her conviction to leave Olivier once and for all.
