Final three episodes from the cult Japanese fantasy series plus a bonus episode from the missing 13 that have never been shown on UK television. In 'Pretty as a Picture', Tripitaka is tricked by a goddess who is trapped in a tapestry into taking her place. 'Mothers' sees the disciples taking on an evil wasp witch who kidnaps children and takes them to her poison mountain.

In 'At the Top of the Mountain', Monkey flies back to China after Tripitaka dreams that his mother is dying. The Great Sage discovers that the lady in question is indeed at death's door, but decides to keep the information from Tripitaka so as not to distract him from the journey to India.
