In 1925, one year into the reign of Emperor Hirohito, Japan is re-inventing itself. The national pastime, baseball, however, remains exclusively the domain of males. Until an arrogant local player sneers that girls should become housewives rather than attending school, and teenage firebrands Koume and Akiko respond with the shocking move of forming their own baseball team!
