Director Amos Poe followed renegade Texas singer/songwriter Steve Earle on his late 2002 tour of the U. S. and Canada, recording footage at two shows; one in Toronto and one in Bloomington, Indiana. The often outspoken Earle performs a handful of his standards ("Copperhead Road," "Guitar Man," and more), in between his equally entertaining monologues, which are brimming with the witticisms and opinions that are just as much a part of his persona as his unique and visionary blend of country, folk, and rock.
