Sims 2: Castaway Electronic Arts

The Sims have left the comfort of their home lives and become stranded on a desert island in this expansion of the Sims 2.

Players must help their newly stranded Sims to survive on the island and find the best means of escape. Rather than the usual day-to-day tasks of Sims titles, players must now complete certain goals to survive on the island, while working with the other survivors. Players can start by creating up to six different Sims, each with their own differing appearance and personalities. Their jobs can also be chosen to determine what skills they have on the island.

The tasks given to players on the island include making a fire, building a shelter or searching for hidden treasure pieces. Once the Sims new civilisations starts to build, players can interact with the other characters theyve created on the island and join the more typical social Sims aspect of play.

The Sims 2 - Castaway takes a chance with an original and interesting take on the typical Sims style of gameplay. Those who enjoy the social creation aspects of The Sims will find them here, but with a more focused storyline and purposeful gameplay mentality.
