A journeywoman's years of travel
Georg Erwin Thaller
In the third millennium of the terrestrial era, the Gypsies have penetrated space. No longer persecuted, but still nomads. Their young men - after the end of their education - have to start a wandering of several years. Their young women stay in the spaceships. Sonja Jirasek does not like this at all. She wants to go on a journey. Her father is strictly against it at first. When Tibor finally changes his mind, he gives her two companions: A robot, and a creature that has telepathic abilities. Sonja finds a planet that was reached centuries ago by a colonist ship and whose civilization has since fallen back to the level of the Middle Ages. She visits a planet where a potent narcotic is produced. It nearly kills her. Narcotics, slave labor, raids on the Cintis' spaceships with the coveted Valy drive: all pieces in a gigantic puzzle. Will Sonja manage to survive her travels and return to her clan alive?
