ARE YOU HAPPY?

I believe that everyone in this world strives, in their own way, to find their happiness. People have very different personalities, beliefs, religions, values, and ideals, but in the end, no matter which path we take in life, we all want to be in a place where we can simply be happy.

Words are just symbols, so when I use the word happy, I mean the lasting joy that permeates your being on a daily basis. My use of the term happiness can refer to a sense of inner peace, joy, bliss, and wholeness. When I talk about the secret of happiness, I mean reaching a stage in your life in which your default state is happiness, and that happiness is present in your being the vast majority of the time.

To find the secret of happiness, we must ask and answer a very important question. What exactly makes a person happy? People have many ideas about what they want in their lives to make them happy. For some, their financial abundance, for others, romantic relationships, some want a sense of satisfaction in helping others, others want to feel successful in their careers, and some just want to be free from oppression or persecution. A more balanced person will decide that happiness comes from achieving a certain level of success and peace in all important areas of their life, which is much easier said than done. Now, while dealing with these things, these things can create a different degree of external happiness, are they really the secret of happiness? Let's look deeper.
