It's just a rundown Mission outside Austin, Texas, but Rachael, who is left there by her dying mother, has aspirations of becoming a bride of God and joining the order. However, her life changes when a man proclaiming to be her uncle appears and takes her from the Mission. Even though a strong bond exists between Rachael and her newfound aunt, she realizes that her Uncle will never let her return to the Mission because he lost his faith in God many years ago, and he blames the church for his misfortune. Filled with hope and braving untold challenges with steely resolve, she still believes her destiny is to become the bride of God.
