"The Hound of the Baskervilles" is the third of four crime novels written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring detective Sherlock Holmes. It was originally serialized in the "Strand" magazine from August 1901 to April 1902. It was mainly established in Dartmoor, Devon, West England. It tells the story of a terrible attempted murder. Inspired by evil, evil, and hounds of supernatural origin. Sherlock Holmes and his companion Dr. Watson investigated the case. This was the first appearance of Holmes since the apparent death of "Holmes" in "The Last Question", and the success of "Baskerville Hound" contributed to the final revival of the character. This is one of the most famous stories of all time. In 2003, the book was ranked 200th and 128th in the "Big Reading" poll conducted by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on Britain's "most popular novel". In 1999, the book was rated as one of the best novels in Sherlock Holmes' novels and was praised by 100 Sherlock Holmes scholars.
