The setting for The Grid is the electrical power business. Hank Hudson is an overworked mechanical engineer from a Midwest utility. Natasha Shakhova is a beautiful Russian nuclear power plant director. Dieter Schmidt is the ruthless CEO of Energia, an international energy company. Energia has a deep secret. It has developed an unconventional way of producing electrical energy, one that doesn't use fuel, nor creates environmentally destructive pollution. What's so sinister is that Energia is suppressing their own discovery.
