These steps include assessing yourself, and assessing and evaluating self-publisher service candidates, selecting and negotiating a work plan, paying a service fee, and marketing/selling your book. There is a lot to deal with. Compared to "traditional publishing", self-publishing can dramatically accelerate the process of getting your book "out there", and can result in higher per-book revenues.
