It reflects her mid-western upbringing as well as Southern California living, knowledge gained at wineries visited, her love of camping, baking, and the Christmas holidays. Beyond a standard cookbook, it contains additional sections: wine and food to pair it with, camping and how to organize your food, and culturally diverse recipes. Throughout the cookbook, the author has written some stories showing her sense of humor and poking fun at her mistakes.
