The word "revelation" has been derived from the Greek word apokalypsis, which is defined as "a disclosure of truth, instruction concerning things before unknown." This book is a single revelation of Jesus Christ given to the Apostle John, when He was exiled to the Island of Patmos. The Lord Jesus Christ presented visions as one revelation of the time of the Seventieth Week of Daniel 9:24-27. One will notice many judgments and blessings declared in the entire 22 chapters, which link back to previous prophesies from the former prophets and Apostles. The fulfillment of the prophecies of God was revealed to the Apostle John, through this single twenty-two chapter Book of Revelation.
