Even before I was diag-nosed with cancer at the age of thirteen, Mom, Dad, and I would meet up with our lifelong family friends, Elyse, Heath, and Jimmy Coch-rane. We would meet up at my family's and my large beach house and stay the Fourth of July week-end together. Even though I have not been able to return to Henley Beach in years, due to my cancer, I am now well enough to spend a night out of the hospital, and to spend the night with every-one at the beach. How-ever, the Coch-ranes don't know that I am with Mom traveling from the hospital to the beach house!
