Atheists have been defined by what we don't believe. We don't believe in gods or miracles or the supernatural or an afterlife. Even the word atheist is in a negative format, from the ancient Greek meaning without God. But shouldn't atheists be defined by what we do believe?A bible for atheists is an effort to do this. It states positively what many atheists believe. It puts forth a system of belief based on reason and science and common sense into a coherent structure, starting from basic principles, to answer the big questions about fate and free will, ethics, the emotions, freedom, friendship, love and mating, thinking, rights, prevention of violence, and more. At its heart it is about how to be a good human. Theists have bibles. Atheists should have their own bible too.
