Megan McDonald is right in the middle of graduate school when Velma Atkins, her feisty grandmother breaks her hip. When Velma is transferred to Springville Manor Retirement Home for rehabilitation, Megan decides to volunteer at the manor to keep an eye on her grandmother. Soon she discovers her grandmother is living in the crosshairs of a serial killer. Megan meets Dan Albright, a nurse, and the sparks fly. Dan offers to team up with Megan and Velma and find out who is killing off all the residents. The tension mounts as more unexplained deaths occur, drugs come up missing at the pharmacy, and the manor's administrator is the latest victim. It appears Dan has a checkered past and suddenly he is a suspect. Megan wonders if she has fallen in love with a thief and if Dan is somehow involved with the murders. Is she going to find out what is going on before her grandmother is Springville's next victim?
