Manchester, 1979. Tim is supposed to be studying English but spends most of his time hanging out with what Simone, his girlfriend, describes as his 'disastrous friends.'These include Norman, a freeloading kleptomaniac, William, on his way to becoming Wendy, and a reluctant Sikh called Sage.
