If you didn't exist, what would you miss?

In 2009, journalist Luis Colombini came to me with a joyfully tempting proposal: to make a
book, with content taken from his interviews with me, in which he related some experiences I
had gone through during my existence up to that moment and that, in addition to
understanding them as existential learnings for myself, they also served for other people to
take advantage of as lessons to reflect.

This work would compose (as it actually composed) a special collection launched by the
former Editora Saraiva called What Life Taught Me, at the time in partnership with Versar,
with various authors from different professional and knowledge areas.

When I accepted to write it, I spent a few days thinking about what would be the guideline
of the book, almost a small lived biobibliography, until I remembered the densest question
that has been with me since I was a boy: if I didn't exist, what would I miss?
