This book presents the Village Development Model (VDM) that looks at development in a different perspective in such a way that communities are helped or facilitated to develop from where they are with what they have. The model suggests that people need not to be given free materials per say but they should be able to contribute to anything they want to start up a project from government or NGO. It relies on the concept and model of co-funding which creates responsibility, ownership, and promotion of the project by the beneficiary because of the cost attached to it.
