Mythological figures are commonly depicted as characters in literary works, all over the world . In Indian Mythical exposition there are only two names that happen to be in the category of ' Mega-Man ' or ' Super-Man' and are are revered as God - Shri Rama and Shri Krishna . All forms of literary poetic compositions on Indian Mythical thought are derived wholly or partialy from the Epics around these two Mythological figures. These narratives are quite popular . Their gross symbols are deeply ingrained in public mind. Their refined and subtle interpretations have led to the genesis of huge literary works we have with us today . Widely acclaimed stories or their fragments have been modified and rephrased by various scholars according to their own passion. Dr Neelam Verma has also made an ingenious move into this domain. Ingenious because she has already created mythical compositions like 'Uttistha Bharata' and 'Antarangini ' both of which were well received by intellectual and empathetically inclined social circles. Though Rukmini was Krishna's wife, it was Radha, His beloved who is given more prominence . In temples it is Radha who is worshipped alongside Krishna. There are just a few temples where Rukmini is present with Krishna, the Dwarikadhish . This is the spot which Dr Neelam Verma bring to our focus. While penning her poem Rukmini- A Queen, she has simultaneously analysed both, sublime as well as gross elements. Her depiction can be duly considered a creative portrait of Rukmini and she deserves to be congratulated for it.
