The New Era Agenda 02

The New Era Agenda is a special edition from The New Era Magazine more experimental in format and feel, while still grounded in the people, homes, work and ideas shaping contemporary creative culture. In this special edition The New Era Agenda 02 we feature a new wave of Swedish creative talent, from tailoring brand Saman Amel, opening its rst atelier outside Stockholm, to the Michelin-starred duo Adam & Albin, who recently unveiled their most ambitious restaurant to date. Both spaces were designed by the Stockholm-based interior architecture studio Halleroed. We also visit the homes and ateliers of a range of Swedish designers and craftspeople, including potter Stefan Andersson, whose clients include some of the worlds most acclaimed chefs. I think the surge in interest in ceramics is connected to New Nordic cuisine, Andersson says. The issue also takes us to France, where we visit the homes and ateliers of three Paris-based interior architects, including Sophie Dries, whose work combines artisanal techniques with a contemporary sensibility. Craft is knowledge, and we are at risk of losing it, she says.
