Tibetan medicine, an ancient profound knowledge, is slowly making headway, in the West, into the mainstream culture of health and well-being. This is thanks to the continuous, unrelenting efforts of many scholars and dedicated individuals and institutions. They tirelessly work to keep alive not only the medical tradition but also all aspects of Tibetan civilization with its rich, invaluable cultural heritage. The present book contains the proceeds of the Third Tibetan Cultural Event - Tibetan Medical Seminar, held in Tenerife (Spain) in 2013, with the participation of distinguished Tibetan doctors residing and working both in Tibet and in the West.
