It is a fragmentary text found in 1896 in a codex, known as Papyrus Berolinensis 8502. The Gospel of Peter is a fragmentary gospel was found in 1886 in a tomb of a monk at Akhmim, in Egypt. The Gospel of Thomas was found in the Nag Hammadi excavations in 1947-1949, in a Coptic manuscript that dates from the 4th century. The Gospel of the Birth of Mary is about her childhood and the Acts of Pontius Pilate is an apocryphal book about the death of Christ.
