Liberalization of the Capital Account Economic Growth and Governance Abdeltif Maila

This book is the result of a research project that lasted one year and consists in studying capital accounts, economic growth and governance as a means of liberalization, either complete liberalization, partial liberalization or privatization in the MENA region. Indeed, financial development promotes economic growth, particularly by allowing an increase in the volume of invested savings and by improving the productivity of capital. In our book, we will study the conditions for success, such as macroeconomic stability and prudential regulation, the transmission channels and the different indices of governance that can be qualified as "good" or "bad", depending on the mechanism of coordination between the government, the market and the civil society.
