Research that provides knowledge to understand the importance of family social climate and its value in the emotional state of the student, to understand that the situations they face in the family can affect not only their grades but also the whole of their lives, even to experience mental health problems such as anxiety. It is necessary to understand that in the family environment originates a variety of interactions that have a sense of persistence and significance that influence several areas of human development. Therefore, the present research aimed to determine the relationship between family social climate and school anxiety. The methodology was quantitative approach, non-experimental cross-sectional design and correlational level. The sample consisted of 62 4th and 5th year high school students from an educational institution. The instruments used were the Moos Family Social Climate Questionnaire (FES) and the School Anxiety Test (TAE), both of which have a Peruvian adaptation, and the results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the variables family social climate and school anxiety.
