Quality of Life Survey Walker Gomes de Albuquerque

This research aimed to assess the quality of life of the collectors of recyclable materials in the municipality of Pombal-PB. The research was conducted with 25 collectors who work at the dump of Pombal-PB and data collection was based on bibliographic research, field visits, use of digital photographs and questionnaires. The diagnosis of Quality of Life was obtained from a simplified instrument validated by WHO: the WHOQOL-Bref, the identification of factors that influence the health and quality of life of the collectors of recyclable materials obtained through semi-structured questionnaire field visit and digital photographs. According to the results, regarding the diagnosis of quality of life, several distinct levels of satisfaction were observed. It was found that the domain with the lowest level of satisfaction was the Environment domain (average 13.30), however, the overall result showed a good level of satisfaction. The overall assessment index was 70.0%, showing a good quality of life.
