The purpose of this study was to analyze the critical situation around the world caused by the Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), which led to an unprecedented destabilization of the tourism industry. Earlier publications related to tourism during viral pandemics reveal only the general picture of what is happening or is specific to only one aspect of this situation. However, this research work includes all the necessary information with specific data in one clear and understandable format and was carried out with the literature review and articles related to the past crisis, and a review of reliable sources, facts, and relevant information. Using all this secondary data, the researchers combine studies on the problems in the field of tourism and identify the prospects for its recovery and future trends, as well as the demeanor of tourism in the pandemic period, and offer effective methods to combat the difficulties caused by the virus. The main tourist destinations and global companies are mentioned, which makes it possible to use the information at an international level.
