Household waste management for local development in Shanao Jose Manuel Delgado Bardales

The research aimed to determine the relationship between household waste management and local development, district municipality of Shanao. The study is based on the theories and regulations of household waste and on the other hand the local development supported by ECLAC. The study was basic non-experimental design, descriptive correlational. The population and sample of the study consisted of 131 citizens of Shanao district. The technique used was survey and questionnaire as an instrument. Results, the level of household waste management was "Fair" with 32% and the level of local development was "Good" with 31%. In conclusion, there is a high positive relationship between household waste management and local development in Shanao district municipality, supported by a Pearson coefficient of 0.905, and a coefficient of determination of 0.820, explaining that 82% of local development is influenced by the household waste management of Shanao district municipality.
