Financing Strategies Jonathan Villegas

This research aimed to analyze the financing strategies used by companies in the Venezuelan steel sector, based on the theoretical arguments of Gitman and Zutter (2012); Van Horne et al. (2010); Brealey et al. (2007); and others. It was of descriptive type with a non-experimental, transectional and field design. Considering that the population of the iron and steel sector in Venezuela is finite, no sample was calculated, taking the population census technique consisting of 12 people working in the areas of finance and accounting in such companies. The technique used to collect information was the questionnaire type survey, made up of 29 closed questions of simple selection under the Likert type scale modality. It was validated by the judgment of 5 experts in the financial and methodological area, and submitted to reliability through the Alpha Cronbach coefficient. Descriptive statistics was used as data analysis technique, elaborating distribution tables of absolute and relative frequencies of easy interpretation as well as the calculation of the arithmetic mean and standard deviation to measure the behavior of the variable.
