The present study aimed to perform the serological diagnosis of Chlamydophila felis using two serological techniques: indirect immunofluorescence, in the modalities of commercial kit (COMMERCIAL RIFI), and in house assay (RIFI OVO), and ELISA, being these RIFI OVO and ELISA tests prepared with Chlamydophila abortus antigen produced in chicken SPF embryonated eggs. Additionally, we aimed to perform a molecular diagnosis of C. felis and to establish the differential diagnosis of feline chlamydiosis in relation to infection by feline herpesvirus type 1 (HVF-1), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and feline leukemia virus (FeLV).
