Bacteriological study of some springs in the willaya of chlef Saidi Hemza

Water is the engine of life, a natural element of paramount importance, it is essential to all forms of life, whether human, animal or plant, an element of preservation of health, but also a vehicle of many diseases called waterborne diseases (WD). This water must meet pre-established standards that set the thresholds not to exceed for a number of germs enter a danger to the consumer.this work has as an objective to verify and estimate the bacteriological quality of drinking water of underground origin in the various municipalities of the willaya of CHLEF: MOUSSADAK, HADJADJ, SENDJASS and the town of TAOUGRITE. Our work was carried out in the laboratory of the Algerian Water Company of CHLEF. The study was carried out on 04 samples of spring water of the various communes. The bacteriological analysis revealed that the rate of total germs, total and fecal coliforms as well as fecal streptococci are in conformity with the Algerian standards of potability and meet the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO), thus the water is of good bacteriological quality.
