The use of assisted reproductive techniques (ART) brings into play three orders of principles of the greatest importance: human life, the family and science-ethics relations. The Catholic Church has been concerned with ART insofar as it touches on these principles. This study does not pretend to be a detailed theological or moral explanation of the subject. We simply want to offer an overview of the abundant documentation that makes up this Magisterium; highlight the unity and coherence of the same and highlight its progressive construction.
