This monograph is an attempt to conceptualize the methodological foundations of virtual reality as a phenomenon that permeates human existence in all its objective and subjective manifestations. The paper presents a historical and philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of virtual being and existing methodological approaches to its study. The methodology of universal logical algorithm, based on the communicative nature of the investigated phenomenon and revealing its main contradiction, modes of existence and structure, is proposed as an innovative one.
