Social rehabilitation competence of a social worker Dinara Sharifulina

Social rehabilitation competence is a set of objectively necessary knowledge, abilities and skills, professionally significant personal qualities that allow to solve the tasks of professional activity on social rehabilitation of various categories of population. Analysis of the literature shows that the structure and content of professional competence and the conditions of their formation and development in the process of training specialists are in the focus of attention of many researchers. However, the overdue problem of forming social rehabilitation competence of future social workers at the stage of their professional training is covered only sporadically. In order to solve this problem the content and essence of social rehabilitation competence were determined in the paper based on the analysis of social rehabilitation as a field of professional activity of social workers; foreign and domestic experience of professional education of social workers was considered; the model of formation of social rehabilitation competence in them, the structure and content of the course "Social rehabilitation and re-adaptation" were developed and experimentally tested.
