Art Crossing 2nd Sabu Toyozumi

Art Crossing No. 2 is a feature of Sabu Toyozumi. Sabu Toyozumi has been active all over the world as a free jazz / free improvisation drummer from the 1960's to the present day. In Japan in the 1960s, as a pioneer of free jazz, he performed with Masayuki Takayanagi, Motoharu Yoshizawa, Masahiko Sato, Yosuke Yamashita, Mototeru Takagi and others. In the 70's he played an active part in the unit "Overhang Party" with Kaoru Abe and his own unit. Since the 1980s, Toyozumi made a number of tours with Wadada Leo Smith, John Zorn, Misha Mengelberg, Han Bennink, Evan Parker, Barre Phillips, Pual Rutherford, Derek Bailey, Sunny Murray and so on. The achievement that he introduced the world's Improviser to us is very large. Recently, Toyozumi has deepened interaction with improvisers in China, Greece, Turkey, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Philippines, New Zealand, Turkey, Chile, Papua New Guinea and so on and received great respect as Legend.
