Goppa codes are not well documented. This book is an attempt to document some Goppa codes that are optimum in the sense that they have Hamming Distance that enables the error correcting code to be able to detect and correct as many errors. Goppa codes are in the broad group off Algebraic Geometric codes and are a little bit difficult to understand. This book lists some of the codes that are optimum in the Goppa family.
