The book is devoted to analysis of the regional (Saint-Petersburg) innovation infrastructure. The review of Saint-Petersburg legislation on development of innovational processes as well as existing innovational institutions in Saint-Petersburg is represented. The book contains both theoretical and applied issues on the subject. The theoretical part outlines concepts related to the innovation process. The Russian concept of innovation differs from the European one leading to dissimilar approaches in innovation system development. The applied part of the book describes the components of the St. Petersburg innovation infrastructure and projects related to the subject and managed by the Baltic Institute of Finland. The data has been gathered from the interviews, publications and internet. This work is intended for everyone who is interested in development of innovations in Russia, particularly in Saint-Petersburg city.
