There is more than one definition of the concept of livability in the literature. Various studies have been made on the subject across disciplines and it was analyzed from the perspective of transportation, education, security, as well as health and environment quality. Istanbul is one of the important metropolises in the world, which has seen a rapid urban growth and improvement in the quality of life during the last 20 years. Beylikduzu was an untouched land in Istanbul city until recently. It has gone through a fast urban development last two decades. The city has become a significant settlement with modern side of the city. This study overlooks the concept of ?livability? in Beylikduzu in terms of education, health and security.
