For the increasing demand of business and other professional degrees in the job market, English as a foreign language (EFL) departments are experiencing tough time. At tertiary level, students are losing interest in taking English language or literature as major. On the other hand, English language and literature graduates are failing to build their desired career. Sayed believes that proper needs analysis, learner-centered curriculum, modern teaching methodology, interactive classroom activities and updated technology can make EFL departments places of academic and professional excellence. In this book, the author has proposed a learner-centered curriculum that provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in different avenues of career. So, the EFL graduates will be able to select their own career. Also, the book discusses some strategies for the development of the total teaching-learning standard of EFL departments with a special focus on team teaching to assist weak and less motivated students. Moreover, the book outlines some policies for branding the department and earning more revenue.
