In Nigeria, like many other parts of the developing world, information gap in adolescents sexuality education is still a concern and continues to attract attention, because information is a crucial factor in health matters. This book challenged critical cultural frontiers, which hitherto promoted the culture of secrecy on contraception information and sexuality education that did not help young people practice responsible sexual behaviour. It also established the critical role of contraception information in moderating the attitude and behaviour of adolescents toward contraception; clearly delineated the behaviour indices of girls in handling contraception issues; and that in spite of the growing popularity of social media in information sharing and community engagements, facts from an investigation indicate that the mass media are adolescents? primary sources of information. It however, underscored the significance of using parents, peers and teachers, rather than the mass media in communicating contraception to adolescents for improved behaviour.
