With the increasing prevalence of diabetes worldwide and transition from infectious diseases to non-communicable diseases as the main cause of death and changes in technology along with recent discoveries in diabetes management, this highlights the responsibility of the diabetes educator to acquire knowledge and skills and most of all render evidence-based diabetes education. As a result, current Diabetes Education Training Programs need to be constantly examined and evaluated as this will place demands on diabetes specialty organizations like the ADNEP and PADE to provide a Diabetes Education Training that is responsive to the current demands of the profession. Little is known about the experiences of allied health professionals in the context of a Diabetes Education Training Program especially in the Philippines. Inspired by qualitative description, the investigator explored the experiences of nurses and dietitians who completed a Post Graduate Training on Diabetes Education.
