Whatever the building may be called, the structure has to sustain it. The primary argument is in relation to what constitutes a sustainable tall building. Most architects focus on sustainability from the standpoint of the architectural expression and/or the mechanical systems. The design of the structure is often given less significance in the sustainable strategy of the project as structure by its very nature is considered the most sustainable component in a tall building. However, it needs to be realized that certain design strategies can be adopted to enhance the sustainable performance of the structure in a tall building.
