Conventional products are gradually replaced by new industrial products combined with nano-particles. In 2005, the commercial value of nano-particles was about $900 millions, while it is predicted that by the year 2015, the value of commercial development of nano-particles will be about $1 trillion. Recent studies indicate the toxicity of nano-materials on aquatic animals and rodents, however, many of their hidden effects are still unknown. This book aims to review the impact of nano-particle enriched engine oil on the environment with stress on what authors themselves have investigated using an experimental setup.
