This paper addresses several of these issues, looking at the current situation and potential future developments which may change this situation. The piece tried to assess the viability of nuclear energy as suitable technology for electricity generation by identifying the current status of the market, relevant growth trends, and other issues that may need to be considered. This piece also considered the renewable obligation of the UK taking into consideration renewable energy?s? role in the future UK energy mix.
