The book is result of primary field work during the "Snow & Glacier Monitoring" project in Lahaul Himalaya, where complex behavior of alpine glaciers led an idea to work out this book. Moreover the dynamic response of glaciers in current environment conditions; where glaciers are retreating at alarm rate as well as advancing too (between 1963 to 2008). The study gives an impression of complex alpine glacial behavior and indicates topographic controls over the behavior of glaciers rather than a global phenomena at list in 1963 to 2008 scenario. The book will be an asset to people who work in glacial geomorphology, geography, Quaternary science and NGOs who work for glacial monitoring; as certain glaciological mapping problems have been pin pointed.
