The interest in exploring learners? perception on Oral Error Correction was inspired by the phenomenon whereby learners keep repeating the same errors corrected over time. It thus became necessary to establish the learners? side of the story and probably understand why they keep repeating the errors. Though the book may not give a final verdict, it provokes debate on the issue and could serve as an initial exploratory investigation with the potential to be hypothesis forming for a subsequent study.
