Their settlement area is distributed in four states: Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria. A terrorist Kurdish faction in Southeastern Turkey wreaks havoc on the Turkish governments attempt to give minority right to Kursidh people in Turkey in order to satisfy EU ascension agreements. This acting poses threats to Turkey's internal stability, border-security and the ascension to the EU. In addition, the recent political events in Iraq have a sginificant impact for the relations between Turkey and Iraq. This policy paper analyzes the diversification of the Turkish-Iraqi relations according to the Kurdish endeavors to establish an independent Kurdish state in Iraq and its regional geopolitical risks.
