Bachelor Thesis from the year 2012 in the subject Politics - International Politics - Region: USA, grade: A, University Warmi?sko-Mazurski w Olsztynie (English Philology), course: History and Culture of English Speaking Countries, language: English, abstract: This paper presents a detailed analysis of subjectively chosen aspects of computerization of the United States Army, in the context of conducting modern warfare operations with the emphasis on military computer simulations. It is of great difficulty to analyze every element of such a broad, and at some points multi-layered and complex subject. Nevertheless, it is vital to indicate and establish boundaries of the areas of the subject that will be the target of this theoretical study, which mainly concentrates on the origins and development of the first military computer, Virtual Reality computer training simulations, and chosen aspects of the use of computers with emphasis on their indispensability on the modern battlefield. The aim of this paper is to prove that the invention of multiple technologically advanced computer devices, and their incorporation into the United States Army, redefined the form of conducting complex military operations, and considerably improved the training, and educational process of American soldiers, by creating innovative methods based on state of the art computer technology.
