A pleading for Literature in t Schröder German edition

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Englisch - Pädagogik, Didaktik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: keine, Universität Hamburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: This work deals with the question why literary texts should be taught in a foreign learner's classroom. Criteria for the right selection of texts are discussed as well as the most arguments that are traditionally stated against literature. The analysis will come to the conclusion that literature is, against all odds, a reasonable source for foreign language teaching.
