An Inquiry of the Ideological Lineage of Conscious Capitalism: the Search for a Better Socioeconopolitical System Maurice Gillardin

The paper seeks to demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of Conscious Capitalism before the larger background of a flawed capitalistic ideology, this to enable the improvement of Conscious Capitalism and to facilitate the emergence of other mixt ideologies between capitalism and socialism, in order to help evolve the current socioeconopolitical systems toward more effective and efficient equilibriums between liberty and equality, thus further enhancing produced value for society on the economic, social and ecological level. It is shown how the flaws of capitalism and the current trends in capitalist systems push for the development of mixt ideologies. Conscious Capitalism is subsequently critically analyzed in the context of its recognition of the current trends and especially in regard to a selection of five specific criticisms of capitalism. A discussion of complementary criticisms will complete the critical analysis. It is found that although Conscious Capitalism is well established on the recent developments, it does not provide an elaborate answer to all the criticisms presented.
